Moving kind of sucks. I haven't been knitting for the last two days. Not one stitch. Poor training for the Knitting Olympics, I know.
I think I and Chris have localized our yarn to the chest. With the exception of some red heart that I don't want to mingle with my good yarn. Red Heart has its place, but I don't want it getting the wrong idea and getting uppity. My needles I think will move in a wine gift-box that we appropriated this Christmas (filled with... you guessed it! A coffee urn!) Well, most of the needles, anyway. I may be able to tuck them in the chest once they're safely in the box.
I can also blame John Murphy's book of Stupid Creatures. This book has led to realize that I don't own nearly interesting enough socks. I have plenty of socks I'd be very willing to cut up, but not many that would make good creatures. Creatures inspired by Mr. Murphy may be my gimmick for this year's MS walk. Donate to the NMSS and adopt your very own creature! It's a thought, at least. More fun than just asking for the money...
And another reason I haven't knit... sudoku. I don't really want to talk about that...
And the last reason :) Chris proposed last night! I mean, I knew it was coming, we had the ring picked out, but last night we finished paying for it, and he proposed!
I'll knit today, I promise. Or maybe I'll finish a creature to show off. We'll see. Maybe I'll pack some more stuff. Perhaps I'll do them all!!

GAAAHHHHHH!!!
I so hear you when it comes to sudoku. I was able to avoid it until this past week when a coworker brought a book in. A few photocopies later and I'm hooked.
I either need to get some more circs for socks or another sudoku book here at home, since both are currently residing in a desk drawer at work.
As far as the Olympics go-- did some training last night with one repeat of the cabled panel from Samus. Note to self-- MUST GET MORE STICKY NOTES. Other than that, it's looking pretty good. I can so do this.

Those creatures are *great*.
I'm not training, precisely, just trying to get my Jaywalkers finished before starting new socks for the Olympics...and spinning really doesn't qualify as training, since I won't be using the handspun.
Oh, and before I forget and think I've said this--congratulations!

Can we officially talk about the big W now? I am looking forward to helping out in any way that I can. If I start sounding like a Mother-In-Law just come out and tell me. I am just so excited that Chris has found someone like you.
Love,
Donna~Your Future Mother-In-Law
P.S. Sudoku is very addictive.
