Well, I finished my Olympic project in the allotted time. I altered it a bit. I consider it a command decision. The outer diamonds are a bit frivolous, don't you think? Someday I'll do it again, and it'll have the outer diamonds.
So I have a finished object, but I don't, in my heart, feel like it's worthy of a gold medal. I feel like I could have done better, but at the same time, I know I did good. I did great. I don't know if I'll download the graphic for this page. I'd buy the t-shirt, if someone were to make one ;)
But anyway, to get over the strain of knitting monotony
monogamy, I have decided to take a bit of startitis and take it to a
new, lofty, level. For this entire week, I have and will continue
to start one project a day. Monday it was a baby aran, today it
was a hat, I don't know what it will be tomorrow, but I will have seven
projects lying around my house by Sunday. I will have no looming
deadlines, and I will be completely frivolous with at least half of my
project choices.
I invite everyone to revel in their own case of startitis, and I look for suggestions as to what to put on my own list (because I don't know what it's going to be after Friday).
Rules? I guess there should be a few. One. No repetitive motion injuries. Two. Don't feel bad about only knitting during the commercials. Three. If you don't have a small project in a drawer at work, correct this immediately. Four. Most importantly, maybe. One of these projects must be for yourself.
Start your week whenever you'd like, and make it last for as long as you'd like. Knit something silly. Take up your needles and join me in knitting in spring with a little startitis!
