Well, I'm sure you can guess from the last post, and the posts of those around me, that Chris and I are officially all married up.
It's really an overwhelming feeling. I've been waking up in the middle of the night reminding myself that I need to pack extra socks, I need to put that song on my play list, I need to get floral tape. I don't have to anymore.
The night before the wedding we had the rehearsal dinner in the reception hall (halls like that are the best). So we got to set everything up, all the tables, chairs, favors, and eat a good meal together.

I'm really proud of the favors. The ducks started it all. I figured as long as I didn't surpass the ducks I would be safe. The chocolate wrappers I found on eBay. The cards have the winkflash account and login info for people to upload wedding pictures (of all of the ideas I had, that one may be the best). The pen has our names, the date, and a thank you. It was for filling out the guest book pages that got passed around. Everyone had their own page to talk about us, their memories of us, and advice they wanted to share. We even encourage artwork. We flipped through those on our way home, and there was some absolutely wonderful stuff there in. My favorite advice? From an uncle who may have the key to happiness "Chris, always agree. Even when you disagree. It's easier". You'd have to know his wife the way I do, I guess.
Oh, and Trogdor, thank you for all of your advice. Burninate. Very sound.
After the tables were set and everyone was fed, it was off to the rehearsal (we ended up doing it backwards because some of our party was going to be coming in late. My MoH was not there for the rehearsal. She's lucky I didn't do something awful to her the day of. Oh, and she gave me a big ugly scratch on my arm. I was ready to switch MoH to Hana, but she didn't have a speech ready). The rehearsal was nice, I got to show off the wonderful church, and on the way over... crap, music! Luckily, my cousin Matthew is a superstar, and he was all set to do the music at the reception, using my ipod. Ah yes, the ipod. But there was not electricity at the church. That's ok! Hana had battery operated speakers and the acoustics at the church were so good you probably could have played it on headphones. All set.
The night before Chris and I had separate rooms. Hana crashed with me so we would make our 7am hair appt. We ran to Marte of de Wal to get batteries and a present for Matt. When's the last time you got to pay a DJ with Halo 3 and have him hug you? I just don't think this kid knows how much what he did means to me, seriously.
The next morning came just about as early as 5am can. Icky early. We all got to the salon right on time. The two gals doing our hair offered us coffee... with Bailey's. If only caffeine wasn't such a bad idea for me, I would have jumped on it.
Don't click on this one. This picture is not remotely kind to anyone, but I love it. This is the attitude that sunk over us that morning. Retards in curlers.
Curlers and curls (apparently I've found what it takes to get my hair to keep a curl, and it involves mild burning of my scalp and the tops of my ears)
And to keep it up?
No less that ninety-nine bobby pins. Yes, we counted.
Ok, the I'm sleepy. Stay tuned and I'll tell you how the bride was a half an hour late for her own wedding.
(he exaggerates)

fun post!! BTW I, for one, am glad you were late for the wedding. Gave us time to go find a potty. Next time you have a gathering let me know if it's BYOP&TP (bring your own potty and toilet paper)

Still wishing I was there...I know, get over it....but I loved seeing everyone's pics. It's like a "behind the scenes with Chris and Ericka" special on tv.
Loving that pic of Chris waiting. (poor guy)
And, not sure if you got my text mssge a while ago, but I have rum and shot glass for you. (ee!)
